The World’s Most Bike-Friendly Cities

Two weeks ago New York City’s long anticipated bike share program went online with mixed results. The program has drawn criticism for stations not working, software glitches, long waiting times on their customer service line, and the program being available to only limited areas of Manhattan and Brooklyn. However, the program has also drawn significant praise as well from riders. For example, after trying out the bikes my brother has decided to use them every day for his daily commute and has purchased an annual membership. This prompted Forbes to release an article showcasing the cities with the best bike share programs in the country.

1. Paris, France
2. London, UK
3. Montreal, Canada
4. Amsterdam, Netherlands
5. Chattanooga, Tennessee
6. Palo Alto, California
7. San Francisco, California
8. Portland, Oregon
9. Boston, Massachusetts
10. New York City, New York
