A Bronx Oasis With a Gritty, Industrial Past

Nytimes.com visits Barretto Point Park, a summer getaway that was the result of transforming an 11-acre site five years ago from a desolate brownfield to a verdant, vibrant oasis with sweeping vistas of the East River. This summer getaway, located in Hunts Point, is a small triumph in the city’s effort to reconnect with its long-neglected waterfront. The $7.3 million renovation features a fishing pier on one end and a converted barge that serves as a pool on the other. Hunts Point is home to some 6,000 people who strive to keep this summer oasis a secret.

Churchill has short-term corporate housing available in New York City and Nationwide. Please contact us at 866-255-0593 or NewYork@FurnishedHousing.com for more information.
