How Many Tourists Visited New York in 2010?

According to Mayor Bloomberg, approximately 48.7 million tourists visited New York in 2010. A nytimes.com article reports that 2010’s 48.7 million visitors is almost a 7% increase when compared to the 45 million visitors in 2009. In total, tourists spent $31 billion in New York City in 2010.
