National Geographic Traveler’s “Free Baltimore!” tells you all you need to know about seeing the best of Charm City without spending a dime. Located on the Chesapeake Bay, Baltimore is a great destination for culture junkies, history buffs, and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

Some of the highlights are:

Baltimore Museum of Art – The museum is free for all ages and closed Mondays and Tuesdays. It features 90,000 works of 15th- to 19th-century contemporary and modern art.

National Electronics Museum – Free to the public and open every day but Sunday, visitors can learn about the Morse code, Bell telephone and SONAR.

Baltimore Kinetic Sculpture Race –  Free admission to a 15 mile race featuring “amphibious, human powered works of art”. The race is held the first weekend of May.
