US World Water Day

Yesterday, March 22nd marked the 18th annual World Water Day which was established by the United Nations in 1992.  The goal was to raise awareness on the world’s water crisis as well as finding solutions to address this growing problem. This year’s focus is on clean water initiatives in low-income countries.

If you are staying in one of Churchill’s Washington DC apartments, you can attend the featured event, “The Ripple Effect of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene on Global Health and Development” which is being held today at 2226 Rayburn House Office Building. Mandy Moore, singer, actress and PSI (Population Services International) Ambassador, will kick off the event at 1pm.
