NY Times spends 36 hours in Richmond, VA

Justin Bergman of the New York Times recently spent 36 hours in Richmond, Virgina sampling some of the highlights form the area. He starts his trip in Carytown, which is one long street that is dubbed “a mile of style”. The street is lined with over 300 stores and offices featuring an assortment of boutiques and more than 25 places to eat. Carytown’s eclectic mix sprung up  from the building boom over he past few years. He also took time to enjoy the Richmond nightlife at Bank, which is a bank that was converted into a bar and Camel for some live music. He concludes his trip with a champagne Sunday brunch in the Jefferson Hotel in the hotel’s rotunda lobby featuring live music by the Skip Gailes Trio.
