Twitter Happiness Map

Alexdavies.net has created a Twitter Happiness Map which shows a state’s happiness based on happy and sad tweets. Using a statistical model, they determine words that are correlated with happiness or sadness and use this raw data to generate the map. The map is a static map based on a sample of tweets collected this year and some states do not have enough data to generate a listing. 42 states had enough information to participate in this exercise and the results had Tennessee as #1 on the happiness map and Nevada being #42.
