Boston.com highlights 35 free events and activities for August. Some of our favorites include:
MOVIES BY MOONLIGHT
The summertime ritual of outdoor film screenings at the Boston Harbor Hotel continues into August with a slew of fan-favorites. (“Dirty Dancing” will screen on Aug. 24 while flicks like “The Princess Bride,” “Moonstruck,” “Planes, Trains, & Automobiles,” and “Roxanne” will also be showing this month.) The movies are always free and begin each Friday night at sunset.
TANGO BY MOONLIGHT
We just love that this event hosted by the Boston Tango Society is timed with each full moon of the summer. Something about bridges and moonlight and dancing under the stars just screams romance. The next Tango By Moonlight event will be held on the Weeks Footbridge on Aug. 4 from 7:30 p.m.—11 p.m. Each session includes some instruction before dancing the night away.
