According to washingtonian.com, one of the year’s most anticipated exhibitions, “The Art of Video Games,” opens March 16 at the American Art Museum. The Art of Video Games is one of the first exhibitions to explore the forty-year evolution of video games as an artistic medium, with a focus on striking visual effects and the creative use of new technologies. Eighty games, selected with the help of the public, demonstrate the evolution of the medium. Opening weekend is March 16–18, 2012, and for three days, there will be a panel discussions where you can meet designers and artists, movie screenings, costume photo-ops, and hands-on play.
