Miamiherald.com looks at the 60th birthday of the Lowe Art Museum. The museum, located on the campus of the University of Miami, is Miami-Dade’s oldest art museum. Lowe’s collections represent 5,000 years of art history, with specialties in Native American, Asian, African, Ancient American and Renaissance and Baroque art. Last year, more than 41,000 people visited the museum, including about 6,500 students.
