Old MacDonald’s farm… and mini golf

Boston.com takes a closer look at the reinvention of Massachusetts’s farm stands. Many farms that sold fresh produce only in season, have become year-round purveyors of food and entertainment to stay alive. This new genre, often called agritourism  or agritainment  is an increasingly important factor in Massachusetts farming. This new genre coupled with the buy-eat local movement, helped Massachusetts see a 27 percent increase in the number of farms.
