Canoeing the Adirondacks in New York – Nearly one million acres of the Adirondack Park are available to the public. A grand flat-water paddling circuit nestled between the park’s marquee High Peaks and Five Ponds wildernesses has recently opened and this new route will take you through a 4 day trip in the wilderness.
Hiking the Roan Highlands in Tennessee – Roan Mountain is the highpoint of the Roan-Unaka Range of the Southern Appalachian Mountains, home of the largest natural rhododendron garden in the world. Visit the Roan Mountain State Park to see the alpine catawba rhododendron bloom in late June.
