Forbes.com has release their list of The World’s Smartest Cities. This list of ten cities was elected based on infrastructure, livability and economic fundamentals. Mega-cities like New York and Tokyo were excluded due to “megalopolitian elephantasis“, which is a term urban historians use to describe out of control real estate prices and expanding income disparities.
Four of the ten cities: Seattle, Houston, Charleston, and Huntsville are from the United States. Seattle and Houston make the list with their strong transportation infrastructure along with their use of green energy. Charleston and Huntsville join the list by emerging as major players in the technology sector.
