October is breast cancer awareness month and the American Cancer Society is hosting the Making Strides for Breast Cancer walk in Washington DC on Saturday, October 31st.
If you are staying in one of Churchill’s Washington DC apartments and would like to attend, the event is located at Washington Nationals Ballpark and registration starts at 9am. The 5k walk consists of 2 laps around the stadium and 1 lap inside the concourse. There are additional entertainment/events outside the stadium like Dragon boar Rides with GO PINK! DC and face painting on N St.
The goal for this event is $400,000 which will help purchase wigs for women going through chemotherapy, mastectomy bras and fund researchers searching for a cure.
